This photo has been haunting me since it was taken. It's so rare to get a photo of all of us and I had really hoped this one could hang on our wall someday. However, in my limited knowledge of Photoshop CS4, I just haven't been able to get the shadows right.

I would still use this photo even though the lighting was less than ideal. I played with it for a bit and came up with my own edit (I will email it to you if you would like). But most importantly, it's probably good to know that I used MCP's free action "Touch of Light/Touch of Darkness" and painted light onto the shadows. I also added some fill light with an action I own and painted it only on the subjects. It helped, but the shadows aren't gone. I think they add nice sense of depth and contrast without totally ruining the photo.
